Lison Classico

  • Grape type:100% Tocai italico classico

This is a major grape type that has been widely grown in this area since the mid-19th century; the local clayey soils are highly suited to the production of this varietal, which is used to make wines of an exceptionally high quality.

At the winery

Cryomaceration on the skins for 12 hours at a temperature of 10°C, followed by cleaning of the must through cold settling for 24 hours at 5°C and fermentation at 17°C. Final maturation in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting notes

  • Colour: deep straw-yellow with golden edges.
  • Aroma:reminiscent of peach-tree leaves and walnut, it has a characteristic scent of bitter almond.
  • Palate: plush, velvety and robust, with considerable mineral content, excellent salinity and great aromatic persistence.
  • Alcohol by volume (ABV):12%

Food pairing

A great match for lean Italian antipasti, Parma ham and melon, sliced pork and creamed dried salted cod; excellent with pasta starters or broths, and with seafood starters. Serve at a temperature of 11-13°C.

Chardonnay

An internationally renowned grape variety, Chardonnay was introduced into Italy a very long time ago, and produces wines with remarkable polish and freshness.

Immediate separation of the must from the skins, followed by cleaning of the must through cold settling for 24 hours at 5°C and fermentation at 16°C. Final maturation in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting notes

  • Colour: light straw-yellow with a slight green tinge.
  • Aroma:elegantly fruity with unmistakable notes of apple, pineapple, peach and meadow flowers.
  • Palate: dry, fresh and inviting, full-bodied and persistent, reminiscent of medicinal herbs.
  • Alcohol by volume (ABV):12%

Food pairing

Excellent as an aperitif and between meals, with antipasti based on fish and vegetables, herb risottos and light fish dishes. Serve chilled to a temperature of 8-10°C, in tulip glasses.

Traminer

An aromatic grape variety cultivated only here and there in the eastern Veneto; it is renown for the pink colour of the grapes. It is very well suited to our clayey soils, which enable it to express its exceptionally refined aromas and excellent structure.

Manzoni Bianco 6.0.13

  • Grape type:100% Manzoni Bianco 6.0.13

This grape variety takes its name from the illustrious Professor Luigi Manzoni, a great scholar of viticulture and president of the Conegliano Wine School; he created this grape by crossing the Pinot Bianco and Riesling Renano varieties. The wine made from these grapes embodies the stylishness and delightful aromatic nuances of the two grape types.

Sauvignon

The name derives from ‘sauvage’ (‘wild’ in French); the grape is French in origin but is now cultivated around the world thanks to the marked varietal imprint it confers upon the resultant wines.

Verduzzo Vendemmia Tardiva (late harvest)

  • Grape type:100% Verduzzo

Two months before harvesting, the bunches are thinned to leave only those that are the most aromatically rich. The harvest is late, so that the grapes have time to dry out, thereby increasing the concentration of the juices and enhancing the sugar content.

At the winery

Maceration on the skins for 48 hours at 8°C, separation of the must from the skins and partial fermentation at 15°C. Final maturation in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting notes

  • Colour:intense golden yellow.
  • Aroma: assertive and characteristic, rich in sweet notes of apple, ripe fruit and vanilla.
  • Palate:pleasantly sweet and velvety, with hints of wood and almond.
  • Alcohol by volume (ABV):11%

Food pairing

Ideal with dessert, particularly alongside dry biscuits. Also goes well with sweet cheese, smoked trout and Parma ham. Serve at around 12°C.
